  • 2,450 kg tare / 260 kg ball weight
  • Same chassis, power and ensuite as Hardside

Common questions

Everything you want to know.

Same chassis, same power, same ensuite, same footprint. Pop Top sits at 2.67 m travel height for lower garages and bridges, weighs 2,450 kg tare. Hardside sits at 3.20 m, weighs 2,500 kg tare, sets up faster (no roof to raise) and adds insulation for four-season touring. The Hardside runs $2,490 over the Pop Top.

Up to 5 across the queen up front and the optional 2- or 3-bunk layout. Most families spec the 2-bunk for two parents and two kids; the 3-bunk works for three kids or extras coming along.

ATM is 3,000 kg, ball weight 260–265 kg. A capable family 4WD, 200 Series, Patrol, Y62, Prado, Pajero Sport, Everest, handles it within rated capacities. Confirm tow rating against your specific model and any aftermarket suspension.

600 Ah lithium with 800 W of roof solar handles a fortnight or more for an active family, fridge, lights, water pump, TV, device charging. The 3,000 W inverter runs the aircon, microwave and 240 V appliances directly. 240 L of fresh water gets four people through about a week of normal use before refill.

Hot-dipped galvanised gooseneck chassis, independent coil-spring suspension with vertical-mount Pedders shocks, Ridge Runner reinforcement on the corners, mud-terrain tyres and the DO35 articulating hitch. Built and specced for the same tracks the camper-trailer range handles, with caravan-grade comfort inside.

Tow-away pricing covers everything except the optional accessories you tick at order. Bunk layouts and your colour choice are at-order options. Build & Price your Expedition Max in the configurator to see your full price.
